SB Designs, Inc. d/b/a Crossover King Basketball is an innovative, aggressive basketball apparel company that is based in the Chicagoland area.   We, the founders of Crossover King Basketball, have our roots in the very heart of the inner city where popular, exciting new fashion trends are born every day, and where basketball culture reigns supreme. It is in this environment that we created the Crossover King brand name, design and concept, along with its sister brand, Crossover Queen.

CROSSOVER KING HISTORY

Intro:

Seeing the world through the eyes of a child can, at times, reveal incredible insights that will escape all but the most conscientious of observers. Who would ever believe that the Crossover King concept a concept based on the hottest go-to move in all of basketball, the crossover dribble has its origin in the aspirations of an 8 year old boy Who could have imagined that the words of a child would reveal to the founders of Crossover King Basketball the existence of an undercurrent of new thought and basketball activity among urban youth; a movement that went completely un-noticed by the entire basketball world at that time

This undercurrent represented a new generation of ballers on the rise; a growing movement, in its infancy, among young inner city street ballers toward a dynamic, new style of ground play that emphasized superior ball handling skills and a deadly crossover dribble over the then-dominant aerial acrobatic style of play popularized during the Jordan era and emulated throughout the basketball world. This new generation, whom we refer to as the Crossover King Generation, was revealed to us, the founders of Crossover King Basketball, by a boy named.Mario.

The beginning:

Mario is the son of one of the founders of Crossover King Basketball. One day, while outside working with Mario on his game, the father asked his young son, How would you like to be able to play like Mike Being a resident of Chicago, a city fresh off of celebrating another NBA championship, the father already knew how his young, impressionable son would answer..or so he thought.  Forget being like Mike, came the reply. I want to be the next Crossover King!  After making that revelatory statement, Mario drove to the basket and completed a smooth layup for two points.

After discussing Marios statements at great length and carefully observing what was going on in Chicago streetball circles, the founders of Crossover King Basketball, discovered something extraordinary; that there was an entire generation of young hoop hopefuls feverishly working on and perfecting their ball handling skills instead of dunking; and for them, when it came to handles, the crossover was king! The founders realized that it was only a matter of time until this generation would come of age, infiltrate the NBA and make the crossover dribble the dominant go-to move in the league, thereby influencing the way basketball would be played for years to come. This would pave the way for the Crossover King concept to grow and flourish.

The founders then created a unique logo that visually captured the dynamics of the crossover dribble and that fit with the Crossover King brand name. This is how the Crossover King concept was born.

In order to protect and maintain the uniqueness of the Crossover King brand in the market and the quality it represents, the founders then had the Crossover King name, logo and design trademarked and registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and copyrighted with the United States Copyright Office.

In todays game, the crossover dribble is the most dangerous offensive ground attack in all of basketball including the NBA, college and high school basketball and in streetball circles nationwide.
